ACT Ceilings, Installed as Part of the Interior Package

The ceiling is often the last trade in and the first one blamed. It depends on walls being finished, services being in, and a site that is ready to close up. Wahlz installs acoustic ceiling tile (ACT) systems inside the same contract as the walls around them, so the ceiling is planned with the interior instead of squeezed in at the end.

What we install

• Acoustic ceiling tile, as specified on your drawings
• Coordination of ceiling layout with walls and bulkheads built by the same team

Ceilings are scoped together with the walls, so heights, bulkheads and access are agreed before the first piece of grid goes up, not discovered after.

Why ceilings belong with the walls

When walls and ceilings are separate subcontracts, heights, layouts and timing are negotiated on site. With Wahlz they are decided once, by the team that framed and finished the walls. That means fewer surprises at the ceiling line and one accountable contact when the schedule moves.

Proof on a full interior

At a church interior build-out in Barrie, Wahlz delivered steel framing, insulation, drywall, finishing, fireproofing, ACT ceilings and some paint under one contract, including a youth space. The ceilings went in as part of the same sequence as the walls.

Reflected ceiling plans, specifications and your target schedule. Send them with the rest of the interior drawings and we will scope the ceilings with the walls, so the bid shows the full interior in one place and you know exactly what is included before anyone mobilizes.
