Insulation, Sequenced With the Wall It Lives In

Insulation is the step that holds everything else up. Framing waits on it, inspection waits on it, and drywall cannot start until it passes. Wahlz installs insulation as part of the same interior contract as framing and board, so the hand-offs that usually cost days are planned from the start.

Insulation types we install

Batt insulation

Installed in steel stud walls and ceilings as part of the wall system, ready for inspection and board.

Roxul (stone wool)

Stone wool batts where the drawings call for them, installed alongside the rest of the assembly.

Spray foam

Spray foam insulation where the design calls for it. At Vetta Spa in Horseshoe Valley, batt, Roxul and spray foam were all part of one Wahlz scope.

Why it matters who installs it

When insulation is a separate trade, a missed visit or a failed inspection pushes drywall, and drywall pushes everything after it. With Wahlz, the team that framed the wall insulates it and boards it. The inspection date is on our schedule, not between two subcontractors.

Recent insulation work

Insulation was in our scope at the church interior build-out in Barrie, Vetta Spa in Horseshoe Valley and Treetops Condominiums in Huntsville, each delivered with framing, drywall and finishing.

What we need to bid

Drawings, wall and ceiling assemblies, the insulation specification and your target schedule. If the specification leaves room for options, tell us what matters most on the job and we will scope it clearly, so you know exactly what is included before work starts.
