Drywall and Steel Framing Contractor in the GTA

In Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan and Oakville, interior work happens on tight sites with many trades competing for the same floors. Wahlz takes on interior wall systems for general contractors, developers and custom home builders across the Greater Toronto Area: steel framing, insulation, drywall, taping and finishing including Level 5, ACT ceilings, fireproofing, paint and microcement, under one contract.

Our base is in Barrie, north on Highway 400, and the GTA is part of our regular service area. Our published GTA work is a custom home in North York, Toronto, built around vaulted, cathedral and coffered ceilings, a round tray ceiling and two-storey window walls, where we hung the drywall and handled taping and finishing through every ridge, curve and drywall return. For commercial and institutional interiors, our church build-out in Barrie shows the full sequence, from steel framing to fireproofing and ACT ceilings.

GTA communities we serve

Toronto, including Etobicoke, North York and Scarborough, as well as Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Vaughan and Pickering. Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket and Aurora also have their own York Region page. Heading north, we cover Simcoe County and Muskoka.

Work that shows what we bring to the GTA

On the North York custom home, very little was a flat ceiling over a square room: vaulted and cathedral ceilings meet at long ridges, coffered ceilings step down in recessed panels, and windows are returned in drywall with no casing. For larger scopes, our church interior in Barrie covered steel framing, insulation, drywall, finishing, fireproofing, ACT ceilings and some paint, and in Port Carling we delivered eight luxury townhomes on Donaldson Drive with Mazenga.

Why one contract helps on busy GTA sites

On a crowded site, every extra trade is another crew to book into the hoist, the loading bay and the floor plan. When framing, insulation, board and ceilings are separate subcontracts, the gaps between them become the site team's problem, and they compound floor by floor.

With Wahlz, one team owns the interior sequence from track to final coat, including ceilings and fireproofing where they are in scope. Layout questions are answered once, and your site team has one contact when the schedule moves.
